As per the published stability guarantee we have added a 1GB topup to all logins affected by the issue at 09:05:20 today. We are very keen not to have to do this again.

It is not acceptable, we know.
Development staff will be working all weekend on this. We are sure we know what is causing it - some sort of packet storm on the LAN. We have failed to find where that is coming from and failed to protect the system against it.
We will get to the bottom of it.
Thank you for your continued patience with what seems like a never ending issue. We fully understand people's frustration.
